BOLLYWOOD’S Getting creative !

The names of the movies that are coming up in the next few months seem to be getting more and more unusual. In fact, while some are completely English, others are a collaboration of both—fusion style titles or completely Hindi. English, Hindi or both, the titles are funny, thought provoking and even vile but will definitely bring in audiences.

Besides
My Name is Khan, which Karan Johar is directing and producing, Johar is also producing Wake Up Sid. Also Farhan Akhtar is starring and producing Kartik Calling Kartik. In fact, the title is exactly what Akhtar was attracted to before he heard the script, “Isn't that an intriguing title? It's supposed to generate curiosity. And to that extent it succeeds.”

In a similar style, a multitude of movies with odd titles include, Raj Kumar Santoshi's
Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Rajat Kapur's Rectangular Love Story, Shyam Benegal's Abba Ka Kuan, Deepti Naval's Do Paise Ki DhoopChaar Aane Ki Baarish, Sanjay Dutt starrer Chatur Singh Two Star, Vishal Bhardwaj's Kaminey, and Atul Pandey’s Jalebi Culture and Laaton Ke Bhoot

In the past, interesting titles have managed to bring in crowds, including
Taxi No. 9211Honeymoon Travels Private Ltd, and recently Dev Dwhich was a modern take on Devdas. Hinglish titles too have been ones that create curiosity and are enticing for the youth including Carry On PanduLove KhichdiDeewana Must Die and the upcoming Toonpur Ka Superhero. With primarily most of the audiences being the youth, the producers are hoping to draw in the younger audiences and hoping that the titles will do exactly that.

Shahid? Shhhh... says Priyanka! - 13 April

While Priyanka Chopra was shooting for Dostana in Miami, she wasn’t even thinking of Shahid Kapoor, the alleged new man in her life.

But then Vishal Bahradwaj, who was casting for Kaminey wanted PC to play the part of Sweety so badly, that he flew down all the way to Miami just to give her a narration. Of course, Piggy Chops was blown away by the script, and once she started shooting for the film, she was blown away by her co-star, too. Shahid swept her off her feet, just like that.

We guess the steamy scenes did it for them. But unlike other actresses, Piggy isn’t telling, and refuses to wear her boyfriend on her arm. “I’m just not like that,” she maintains. So while her lips were sealed when asked about her man, Hurman then, she remains shhhh... about Shahid now. Who has the key to this ‘lip-lock’?- TOI

Kareena Kapoor starts admiring Aishwarya!

Bebo & Saif

Kareena Kapoor has had a bad equation with her first hero Abhishek and the Bachchans ever since loving sis Karisma’s broken engagement.

Kareena has been openly critical about Ash too, who took Karisma’s place in the Bachchan home.

But now the Kapoor girl has suddenly decided to rave about the Bachchan bahu.

Bebo apparently can’t stop talking about the way Ash has shaped her career after marriage.

Ash has big films in her kitty like Sanjay Leela Bhasali’s next with Hrithik Roshan and a movie with Akshay Kumar based on ‘Back to the Future’, apart from Maniratnam’s ‘Ravan’ with hubby Abhi and Shankar’s ‘Robot’

This in spite of the fact that she has become very selective about films after marrying Abhishek Bachchan . She turned down Karan Johar’s ‘Dostana’ because she thought the audiences could not see her having affection for Bobby Deol and being overtly friendly with John Abraham when Abhi is a part of the story. She’s also become very choosy about the directors and producers she wants to work with.

Kareena has reportedly been following Ash’s career and says this is the pattern she would love to follow after her marriage.

So it seems that she’s indeed serious about marrying Saif Ali Khan.

Kareena’s been saying that she’s serious about marriage but it won’t happen for another two years as her date diary is full till 2010.

Saif is getting a special apartment ready and it would be complete by then.

The Kapoor lass sure is very clear about her plans! Let’s wait and watch. -Sampurn Media

Slumdog Millionaire’s Freida Pinto tells DIVIA THANI DASWANI what its like to go from Mumbai model to Hollywood’s latest 'It' girl

Ankle-length mustard Christian Lacroix Haute Couture at the Golden Globes. A swirly, cornflower blue Marchesa at the SAG Awards. Donna Karan at the Producers Guild, Oscar de la Renta at the BAFTAs. Sparkly black Jean Paul Gaultier, a one-shouldered, aqua Roland Mouret, blue-black Chanel couture, metallic, draped Zac Posen…  Is there a woman out there who wouldn’t love to be in Freida Pinto’s sparkling Jimmy Choo peep-toes right now?

“I’m in fittings day in and day out,” laughs Pinto, even as she trades her heavy wool coat and skinny jeans for a dressing gown and settles in to be made up for the Vogue shoot. It’s four degrees below freezing in New York City on this February morning, but Pinto, 24, admits she’s running high on adrenaline. “I think I’m getting spoilt,” she says, “and lazy, too. I don’t want to shop anymore. I just want to pick from what’s in front of me. And I’ve lost all objectivity. After six months of doing this everyday, I can’t tell what looks good. Clothes look so different on hangers.” She laughs again. “I’ve become so much more aware of the fashion world recently—and I’m doomed now. There’s no turning back.”  Read the rest of the interview at: http://www.vogue.in/people_party_story.aspx?p_id=239

Slumdog Millionaire Kids Giggle Down The Runway at India's Fashion Week 2009

Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail, the child stars of Oscar winning film "Slumdog Millionaire", Thursday walked the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) ramp and performed a jig on the film's hit song "Jai ho".
The audience was left mesmerised as the two children from the shanties of Mumbai entered the show area with gleam in their eyes and literally refused to budge from the head of the ramp. They happily obliged the shutterbugs even as the audience kept waiting for them to finish feeling like the ultimate stars of the show.

They stood still until designer duo Ashima-Leena Singh, for whom they walked the ramp, led them away. But the audience kept clapping and cheering the duo for their confidence and innocence.
